Enquiries and correspondence

This website provides company information. It does not offer accounts, checkout or an enquiry submission form. Email links open your email application; visiting the Contact page does not itself send an enquiry.

If you email us, we receive your email address, the name you supply, your message, attachments and associated correspondence details. We use this information to respond, manage the enquiry and maintain relevant correspondence. Please provide only what is needed for your enquiry and avoid sending sensitive case documents unless requested through an appropriate channel.

This notice concerns the corporate website, not the separate delivery of legal services through our brands. Additional notices and terms may apply when you engage those services.

Hosting and technical information

The website is hosted on Vercel. Delivering pages requires processing connection information such as IP addresses and requested URLs. Hosting and security systems may record request times, response codes, browser or device information and diagnostic or security events to deliver the site, investigate faults and protect it from misuse.

This routine technical processing is distinct from advertising or audience analytics. Please do not include confidential information in website URLs.

Cookies, storage and tracking

This website does not currently use advertising cookies, analytics tracking or behavioural tracking pixels. The application does not deliberately store visitor information in cookies, local storage or session storage. Fonts and images are served by the website.

Hosting infrastructure may use strictly necessary technologies to deliver or secure the website. Where storage or access is strictly necessary, consent is not required under applicable UK rules. If we introduce technologies requiring consent or an opt-out, we will provide the relevant information and controls.

How we use information and our lawful bases

We use personal information to respond to enquiries, manage correspondence, carry out legitimate business administration, operate and protect the website, resolve problems and meet applicable legal obligations.

For ordinary corporate enquiries, business administration and website operation, we rely on legitimate interests: communicating with people who contact us, maintaining appropriate business records and providing a reliable, secure website. We balance these interests against your rights and freedoms.

Where processing is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, or to perform a contract with you, we rely on contractual necessity. Where processing is required by applicable law, we rely on legal obligation. If we seek your consent for a particular purpose, we explain that purpose when asking and you may withdraw consent at any time.

You are not required to email us, but we may be unable to respond fully without relevant contact details and information about your enquiry.

Service providers and disclosures

We use Vercel to host this website and Microsoft 365 to handle business email. These providers process information as needed to deliver their services. Information may also be shared with IT support providers or professional advisers where necessary for business administration, support or advice.

We may disclose information to regulators, courts or other authorities where required by law, or where necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. We limit disclosures to information appropriate for the purpose and use applicable data protection arrangements with providers processing information on our behalf.

Data security

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse or disclosure, taking account of its nature and the risks involved. Access should be limited to those who need it for their work. No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure; please avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information by email.

How long we keep information

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected and to meet applicable legal obligations. In deciding how long to retain information, we consider the nature and status of the enquiry, the need for follow-up and business records, the sensitivity of the information, and any relevant legal, regulatory or claims-related requirements.

Technical information is retained according to its operational and security purpose and applicable provider arrangements. Information that is no longer needed is deleted or anonymised as appropriate. You can contact us for information about retention relevant to your circumstances.

International data transfers

Our service providers may process or access personal information outside the UK. Where this involves a restricted international transfer, we rely on applicable UK adequacy regulations or appropriate safeguards required by UK data protection law, such as approved contractual protections, together with any additional measures required for the circumstances.

Contact us using the details above to request further information about relevant transfers and the safeguards applicable to your personal information, including how to obtain a copy of those safeguards.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances and applicable exemptions, UK data protection law gives you rights to be informed, access your personal data, correct inaccuracies, request erasure, restrict processing, object to processing and receive or transfer certain data. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing.

You can object to processing based on legitimate interests. Contact us using the details above; we may need to verify your identity. Requests are normally answered within one month, subject to lawful extensions and exceptions.

You may complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/. You do not have to contact us first, although we welcome the opportunity to address concerns.

Other websites and updates

Links to Express Divorce, Consent-Order.com and other external websites take you to separate sites. Consult their privacy and cookie notices before using them. This corporate website does not embed their services.

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to our services, practices or legal requirements. The current version will appear on this page with its last-updated date. Where required, we will bring material changes to your attention by appropriate means.
